Macbook Pro Unibody Trackpad Not Working


They claim the swelling is a safety mechanism that unfortunately interferes with the trackpad. MacBook Pro 17″ trackpads. There seems to be different models available but the dimensions are exactly the same. I just loosened the screw very slightly and it works like new again. Place your MacBook Pro on one of the sides and continue clicking on the trackpad while adjusting the screw. When a MacBook Pro battery fails, in some cases it stars swelling. I'll add links to a replacement trackpads & batteries in the FAQ.
