This method has worked for me on Windows 7. Restart Computer Before you get carried away with Device Manager, try the old tech support standby – turn it off and turn it on again. After reinstalling my OS, every device on every port worked (mouse, keyboard, webcam, usb storage), except of my gamepad, so I assumed that it doesn't work. Hope i would get a response. Source
